5-9-2012 update. Still no more money returned.
Jim Adcock blames Kay Gaston who now owns Country Girl Sales. I sent her my cell number in an email but she has not responded.
Monroe PD tells me that there is some kind of civil case against them now and that I do not need to hire my own lawyer. If anyone else is owed money, please contact Monroe PD and file a report.
I have had three others contact me now. If you paid by credit card, you can contact your bank and they will credit it back to you if too much time has not passed as was my case.
Please post your complaint.
Also, contact the Better Business Bureau, Attorney General, and Motor Vehicle Commission. I would also contact the Monroe Police Department.

I paid Jim Adcock of Adcock Auto Parts, now JIMCO, for an auto part with my credit card over the phone on August 3rd, 2011. I never received the part and was promised a full refund.
After month of no refund, I filed complaints with The Louisiana Better Business Bureau, Attorney General, and Used Motor Vehicle Commission. I finally was refunded $200 of the $1150 on February 15th, 2012, but was told on March 30th 2012, by Mr. Adcock, not to expect the rest. I feel as though Mr.
Adcock has stolen $950 from me. I have now contacted the Monroe Police Department. My next step is to contact the Local News and then a lawyer. I have never had to file a complaint against anyone else.
I am not sure if I will ever see my money again, but fully expect Jim to go to jail and JIMKO to be shut down perminately.

Hey I guess I don't have to tell people you changed your company nameto jimko your new way of doing things has already pissed people off. they done posted bad reviews about you I guess karma want leave you alone until you take care of the customers you owe money too.I know my money will never return to me.I can just hope that state off Louisiana shuts you down before you get someone elses money.just for the record I still have that bad engine if you still want pick it up and warranty it since you told some on I wouldn't ship it back.
JIMKO AUTO SKAM
Hi my name is K. Thompson and I also have been an innocent victim of the JIMKO scam...as a matter of fact I had supposedly purchased a used engine for a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero with 51000 miles on it for $979 from the company but the mechanic who has my car never received the engine yet and it almost been two weeks.
I tried calling JIMKO to check the status of my order and no one is never available to take any of my calls, emails, or messages. I am so pissed that I want to drive there and see if there is an actual company by that name...

I'm Shantay from VA and Jimko also got me. After 3 weeks of waiting for my part I was send the wrong part.
Spoke with a man named Jim told me he would send the right part never received it asked for a refund to my credit card after a week of not getting it he told me they were haviving problems refunding credit cards. Told him to send me a check and I still have not received anything.
Now when I call the number it says not in service. Im working with my local police for this company
Buying parts from adcock auto parts
I called Adcock auto parts for a transmission for my 1989 Dodge dakota he said he could get me one for 300 dollars plus 125 for shipping. I never recieved the trans he said it was damaged in shipping.
Now I am trying to get my money back. I sent the money on january 10 by western unio. He keeps saying he will send it by fed-x even gives me a bogus tracking number this has been done twice.
How do you get your money back? James Adcock and Linda K all keep liying to me I don`t know what to do.

I am a Auto Repair in So Cal. I have been in business since 1954 so I knowm my way around I needed AS 6.5 diesel short block there wasn't any to be found in so cal so I went on the internet and put out finders in used auto parts, I received many replies so I started responding to their e-mails when I talked to Jim at Adcock auto parts he said all the right things I needed to hear, so I placed a order with Jim for a good rebuildable short I was told it would take a few days to inspect the core and make sure it was in good shape.
I thought thats great now there's a company that does business like I do theyrole. So jim billed my credit card and would ship it the next day. Well after two weeks no motor, I called jim and was told my motor was coming from Idaho and should be there within a week?? Another week went by and still no motor; I called Jim once again and he told me once again that it's not his fault! The yard he was getting it from really messed up.
Two more weeks went by and my motor was then delivered and it was sitting in my drive way,it looked like someone was using it for a boat anchor the only thing I could was inspected was to make sure it didn't fall off the pallet I was MAD I took pictures and e mailed to jim to show what his connection had sent a week went by and I called jim and asked if he had seen the pictures. We talked and I was going to dissemble this mess and report back to him. took me a week to dissemble and send the block to the machine to hot tank and inspect, it came back the block was rebuild able but the crank and a few rod were trashed so I called jim and we talked I asked him just find me a good crank and we would be square. Well here three months later calling jim of course one bull story after another I still waiting for a crankshaft,Now the picea *** won't even answer the phone,This *** makes all the respectable company's look bad. Took my money and sent me a bad engine
the story goes like this I ordered a engine from James adcock back in january2011 I've Been trying To get a refund since march one story afte another its now december. Almost a year later He said he's having the picked up then he'll refund me its been a week no word from him . Im sure he will have reason why its not been picked up there's been a lot if bad reviews about this company so find yours parts some where else local so you don't have issues with getting your part warranted with out being lied to

There have been several bad reviews made about my company Adcock Auto Parts accussing me of several things. First i would like to say to those writing these reviews that if you feel you have been unfairly treated i do appologize for that,each review written on this site tells only one side of the story, in the warranty issues if there are certain steps that have to followed in order toreplace the engine or trainsmission that may need to be replaced such as it has to be sent back to the distributor to be checked out,documentation from the customer stating the issues have to be provided to us so we know whats wrong, then we have to forwatrd that information to distributors before a replacement or refund can be issued, when the customers do not provide us with what we need to reolve the problem we cant fix the problem.
as faor as refunds go when a refund issue to be issued we process the refund within 72 hrs of it being proven to be a valid refund and the credit card processor takes an additional 2-3 bussiness days to process it and release the funds, what many poeple do not know is that even though the we get an authorization code we do not recieve the money they pay us for up to 4 bussiness days from our processors so we send the parts out in most cases before we even recieve the funds from them,when a refund is due we have to wait till the part is returned and we recieve credit back from our distributors, so there alot to factor in when trying to resolve issues that cant be resolved overnite.
i have never purposely tried to cheat or take advantage of any of my customers, even though some of my customers have tried to cheat me and return the wrong parts and expect refunds. there are a few customers that have not been satisfied with what they have ordered but there are hundreds of customer that have been..My direct phone numbers are 318-855-**** or 318-803-**** which i can be reach at one of the two 24 hours a day 7 days a week if anyone has any issues or questions about the things they have read about my company that they would like to discuss i am available anytime..i have tried to resolve every issue that has come up with a customer and sometimes there have been instances to where we werent able to reach an agreement, but i ahve always tried to do the right thing, so please before you pass judgement about me please call me and get both side of the story......
Lies toeven the Bahamas
I like many others contacted James (Jim) Adcock to purchase an engine for a 2003 Kia Sorrento. Everything started out great - giving him all my details and he informing me that he found an engine and what the cost was.
Then I made my payment via bank draft and things went fishy. I could not reach him by phone and no response from emails. He was suppose to use a shipping company (local) but there was always a problem with the paper work. So I had to change the script and give him a shipper locally in the Bahamas that ships from the US.
Then the part never arrives at the shipper and they have heard nothing from James (Jim). So I ask to be refunded and he said he is just waiting on the check from the company. Then he gets the check and for some reason can not forward the funds to me as I requested for him to Fedex the check back and forward the AWB number. This can not seem to happen as about two weeks has already passed and I can't seem to get a couple of letters and numbers.
So I will lodge a complaint with the Louisiana Attorney General and advise them if I need to get an attorney to clear this which would be an easy thing for me and a major problem for Jim. I hope he checks this and be afraid because I have quite a few friends and family that are lawyers and willing to assist.

this site is used for people to discribe bad experiance they have had with companies, but the fact of the matter is those people fail to tell the whole story. If you recieve an item from a company and it doesnt ship on time or you recieve the wrong item purhased you immediately contact the company you bought it from and ask to return it.That company gives you return instructions and tells you once recieved back the refund will be processed within 5-7 business days.
Well most people delay returning the product on time and or do not read the return and warranty policies and then get mad if things dont go as planned.or some people recieve the product they ordered and then file disputes with thier credit card company stating they never recieved it in the first place, so they cheat the company out of the product, i think someone should create a site to list the consumers that screw over businesss and the name of the sites that post the half truth complaints . Every company in the world has issues with customers, suppliers and shipping companies that delay products being delievered on time and or in good standards, consumers need to understand that companies do everything they can to resolve the issues that arise, but it takes time to get thiose matters resolved, we cant just push a button and fix the problem, so dont judge a company by the negaticvwe things you read online because there are always to sides to the story to find the truth

A talked to james adcock june 24th. He said he send my money back It is now july 18th still no check recorded The last conversation we had and he said the check is ready to send out.
It has been three weeks he will not call me back. Im going to talk to a attorney. And let him listen to the phone calls. He said he fired.
Two of his employees one for stealing. And one for not showing up two work sounds like they learned. From there boss please.

james Adcock at adcocks auto parts Sold Me a used engine for a 98 chevy prism.back in january with a 12 month warranty 2months later the engine started using oil. He said he would send me a engine weeks have went by same story Every week.
Im looking now he says He can't Find one now he said he would give me a refund 2weeks no check. He want return phone calls are emails he don't even have a shop it has been 3months now still no check or engine.

i have ordered my Nissan 06 Maxima transmission on 6/14/2011, paid right away with credit card, but never received part, when asked James Adcock said the transmission fail the test. when, i asked for refund, he said he will send the money and transaction will take 2 to 3 days.
I did not received my money yet.
And now he is not answering my call. Now, I am stuck, please do not by from this guy, you better pay more somewhere else for your parts or else, will loose your money, time and will get frustration for free.

The customers that have posted these thing did truly have issues with there orders but everything was done to resolve those issues, when you place an order with any company that company does the very best they can to service thier customers,however there are times when issues may arise that may delay or cause us not to be able to fullfill the order.

There have been alot of things said on this site about Jimko/James Adcock but lets look a little deeper, he has a bussiness partner Linda Kay Gaston of 232 Owens Rd Dubach, La.71235 3**-**1-2710, to my understanding they had a falling out and Jim left the company, Linda Kay Gaston took over the company and assumed all responsiblity of it, she went as far as to change the name to COUNTRY GIRL SALES LLC. and try to dump all the problems of the company in her partners lap,she has spread alot of malicious lies and rumors,about her partner to make herself look good,if there are any customers who placed an order with JIMKO between march 15th,2010 and present then you should reach LINDA K.
